Physiological Wound Bed Management
The core performance of Manuka Honey Gauze lies in its ability to manipulate the wound micro-environment:
- Moisture Balance: The dressing effectively forms and maintains a wet environment at the wound site.
- Healing Support: By protecting the wound surface, it provides an optimized environment for natural tissue regeneration.
- Barrier Function: It acts as a primary sterile shield against external contaminants during the healing process.
Versatile Clinical Indications
This gauze is an "all-in-one" solution, making it an efficient inventory choice for surgical wards, trauma centers, and chronic care clinics:
- Thermal Injuries: Indicated for 1st and 2nd Degree Burns (superficial and partial thickness) and minor scalds.
- Chronic Care: Proven effective for Leg Ulcers, Pressure Ulcers, and Diabetic Foot Ulcers.
- Acute Trauma: Ideal for surgical wounds, trauma wounds, lacerations, and minor abrasions.

Optimized Application & Removal Protocol
To ensure patient comfort and clinical efficacy, we recommend the following professional standards:
- Preparation: Clean the wound thoroughly before applying the Manuka Honey Gauze.
- Layering: Apply the gauze gently and cover with an absorbent secondary dressing; secure with appropriate retention material.
- Frequency: Change daily for heavily exudative wounds, or every 3 days as healing proceeds.
- Trauma-Free Removal: Remove slowly using tweezers or a gloved hand. If used on a dry wound, the dressing may adhere; in this case, soak the area with sterile saline to assist in a gentle removal.
- Important Note: The dressing must be removed if it has completely dried out.
