Product is a kind of disposable sterile product, the product is made of paraffin containing chlorhexidine attached to mesh gauze uniformly. The Chlorhexidine Gauze Wound Dressing is antibacterial and does not stick to the wound during use.

Chlorhexidine Gauze Dressing is a Gauze Dressing impregnated with paraffin, containing 0.5% chlorhexidine acetate. It is presented as individual dressings in peel-apart pouches. It acts as a barrier between the wound and a secondary dressing such as low adherent wound dressing,allowing wound fluid to pass into the absorbent secondary dressing. The chlorhexidine acetate antiseptic is slowly released from the dressing, giving long lasting action against a range of bacteria.

Instructions for use

• Carefully clean the wound and its surrounding area with sterile water or saline solution and dry the surrounding skin gently.
• Select the right size of dressing for the wound area. Carefully open the sterile pouch to remove the dressing inside.
• A secondary dressing is necessary when using gauze dressing. If needed, cut the tape and dressing using sterile scissors.
• Change dressing daily or more often according to the condition of the wound. If the dressing sticks, soak it off gently with sterile saline solution.
