Silicone Foam Dressing

The Silicone Foam Dressing consists of:
a) a wound contact soft silicone layer.
b) a flexible absorbent pad in three layers: a polyurethane foam, a non-woven spreading layer and a layer with super absorbent polyacrylate fibres.
c) an outer film which is vapour permeable and waterproof.

Silicone Foam Dressing is designed for a wide range of exuding wounds. Silicone Foam Dressing can also be used on dry/necrotic wounds in combination with gels. Silicone Foam Dressing reduces postoperative blistering and may also be used as part of a prophylactic therapy to help prevent skin damage, e.g., pressure ulcers.

Under the care of a healthcare professional, Silicone Foam Dressings may be used in the management of full thickness wounds with moderate to heavy exudate (drainage) such as:

1) Leg ulcers

2) Diabetic foot ulcers

3) Pressure ulcers

4) Traumatic wounds (e.g., skin tears)

5) Surgical wounds

a) Do not use the product when the wound is infected.

b) If there is an infection or allergic reaction characterized by fever, redness, fever, or swelling of the wound or surrounding skin, please stop using it.

c) If the wound is caused by blood-supply deficiency or diabetic foot ulcer, when the product is used, please check the wound status daily.

d) This product should not be used in situations where clinical doctors consider it unsuitable for use.
